WATER CONSERVATION TIP #5

October 16, 2018

Be aware of and follow all water conservation tips, as they will go a long way in helping you and others in the community. You need to observe good water use rules. Every drop counts!

Check your water meter when there is a supply and no water is being used. If the reading changes – you have a leak. Have it fixed.

If you have a pump at home, check your pump periodically. Listen to hear if the pump kicks on and off while water is NOT being used. If it does, you have a leak. Find it and repair it

Report all broken pipes, open hydrants, errant sprinklers, and overflowing tanks to property owners, or WASCO.

Water conservation reduces energy consumption, water bills, and wear on the water distribution system. Conserve Water whenever possible and contribute to an improvement in the supply for everyone
