The Operations Department is the backbone of WASCO’s service delivery, responsible for the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s water supply and wastewater infrastructure across Saint Lucia. Its core mandate is to ensure the reliable, safe, and efficient distribution of potable water and the effective management of wastewater services to meet the needs of residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

In addition to infrastructure management, the Operations Department plays a critical role in maintaining an inventory of equipment and facilities to support long-term planning and upgrades; and collaborating with other departments to implement contingency plans during extreme weather events or natural disasters that affect the Company’s sensitive infrastructure.
This department oversees Water Services, which includes the Production, Treatment and Quality Unit; Support Services; Wastewater Services and Design and Construction.
Through its commitment to operational excellence, the Operations Department ensures that WASCO continues to deliver essential water and wastewater services that support public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure development.
