The Water Services Department at WASCO is central to the delivery of treated potable water across Saint Lucia. This department oversees the full spectrum of water operations - from production and treatment to transmission, distribution, and customer support - ensuring that communities island-wide receive a consistent supply of water.

At the heart of its operations is the Control Room, a 24/7 monitoring hub that manages fault reports, dispatches repair teams, and coordinates emergency responses. This centralized unit ensures rapid intervention for service disruptions, infrastructure failures, and customer complaints, maintaining operational continuity and public confidence.

The department is also responsible for leak detection and repair, deploying specialized teams and technology to identify and address leaks within the distribution network. This proactive approach minimizes water loss, protects infrastructure, and improves overall system efficiency.

On the production side, the Water Services team manages the operation of WASCO’s water treatment plants, where raw water is processed through advanced filtration, disinfection, and chemical treatment systems. Rigorous quality control protocols are enforced to meet national and international health standards, with continuous monitoring at every stage - from source to tap.

Once treated, water is transmitted through a complex network of reservoirs, pipelines, and pumping stations. The department ensures the island-wide transmission and distribution of water, maintaining optimal pressure levels and overseeing infrastructure upgrades to meet growing demand and climate resilience goals.

Through its integrated operations, the Water Services Department plays a vital role in sustaining public health, supporting economic development, and advancing WASCO’s mission to deliver quality water services to the people of Saint Lucia.
